Food plays a huge role in fighting and aiding the inflammations present in your body brilliantly, and can also help ease the pain that comes with the inflammation!
In conditions like arthritis and multiple sclerosis, the pain that a person faces essentially comes from the inflammation caused by the condition itself! So to help ease that pain and the inflammation too, we have here a few tonics that will work wonders on that pain!

1. Lemon and Turmeric Tonic

• 1 tbsp fresh, grated turmeric
• 1 tbsp fresh, grated ginger
• 3 cups water
• Juice of one lemon
• Rind of lemon

Start by combining all these ingredients in a small saucepan, simmer it over medium heat. Remember NOT to bring it to a boil. Turn the heat off and strain the concoction in serving glasses/mugs.
You can also add raw honey and a pinch of cayenne pepper too it if you want. Store any leftover liquid in the fridge for not more than 3 days and just reheat it when you want to consume it.
The purpose of adding turmeric to the concoction is due to the fact that curcumin, and ingredient present in turmeric, helps reduce the body’s inflammation brilliantly and as a result provides relief from pain.

2. Baking soda and Water:

• 1/4th tsp baking soda
• 230 ml water

Combine the two things in a glass and drink! It has been proven that this mix can help provide relief from inflammation and the pain associated with it. But also remember to not take this tonic for more than a month as long-term use of this tonic might cause issues like bone loss or liver damage.

3. Parsley + Ginger (Green) Juice:

• Handful of parsley leaves
• 1.5 -2 cups of spinach leaves
• 1 apple (green would be better)
• 1 lemon
• 1-2 inches of ginger
• 1 small cucumber

Parsley has many active ingredients, out of which one is carnosol. It has been proved that carnosol targets inflammation effectively. Ginger too happens to prevent the production of inflammatory molecules like leukotriene and prostaglandin, thus reducing inflammation and the pain associated with it.
