Healthy recipes you can make with minimal ingredients

How many of you are confused about what all healthy food you can make at home to help you stay at the top of your health game? Well, with that in mind and also taking into account the fact that a lot of us have only a limited amount of ration at our disposal because of the Lockdown, here are a few ingredients with which you can make some delicious recipes that will make you healthier and boost your immune system too against the COVID-19.

1. Oats cheela

This brilliant recipe only has a few ingredients but it is exceptionally healthy and delicious as well.

Ingredients

  • 8 egg whites
  • 100 grams oats
  • 1/2 tomato
  • 1 onion
  • 4 red chilli
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil 1 tsp for greasing the pan

To serve:

  • 20 grams of almonds
  • 1 green tea
  • 20 grams Schezwan sauce

Method

  • Beat the egg whites in a bowl till it becomes fluffy.
  • Add every ingredient to the bowl apart from the ones that you need to serve the cheela with.
  • Mix well and heat a pan with the oil in it
  • Pour the oats mixture in it and let it cook.
  • Flip and let cook on the other side.
  • Serve hot on a plate along with the accompaniments.

2. Water-soaked oats

This might just be one of the easiest yet one of the most healthy recipes that you might come across.

Ingredients

  • 100 gm oats
  • Nuts (chopped)
  • Mixed Seeds
  • Chopped fruits like apple or pomegranate
  • Add raw honey for sweetening if needed
  • Chia seeds 20 gms

Method

  • In a bowl or mason jar add all the dry ingredients
  • Pour water enough to cover the oats and mix properly
  • Leave overnight in the fridge to soak
  • Have in the morning with a cup of green tea.

3. Healthy Smoothie

Easily made and extremely healthy, this smoothie has all the nutrients you need and can also be customized to your liking.

Ingredients

  • 100 gms Yogurt
  • 50 gms almonds
  • 1 chopped apple
  • 2 tbsp pomegranate seeds
  • 20 gms mixed seeds
  • Honey if needed for sweetening

Method

  • Add every ingredient to a mixie jar.
  • Whizz till all the ingredients are combined
  • Add water to adjust consistency
  • Serve immediately

4. Dates laddoo

This wonderful dessert isn’t just sugar-free but it is also super healthy, filled with a ton of nutrients.

Ingredients

  • 200 gm dates
  • 200 gm grated fresh/dried coconut
  • A pinch of salt

Method

  • Whizz all the ingredients in a food processor and roll onto a board
  • Take out small portions and shape them into balls
  • Serve fresh or refrigerate till you want to eat

Bonus:

Kaadha to increase immunity

This simple yet effective kaadha helps boost the immune system in the best way possible and makes you stronger against potential diseases.

Ingredients

  • 5-6 leaves Tulsi
  • 1 tsp chopped Ginger root
  • 2 no black pepper pods
  • Pinch of Turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • Tej patta/bay leaf (optional )
  • Jaggery (optional)

Ingredients

  • Bring all the above ingredients to a boil in 2 cup of water
  • Add jaggery only if you want to sweeten the kaadha
  • Once boiled, take off the heat, let it cool a little and squeeze a lemon before serving.
  • Drink hot.

You can substitute jaggery with honey as well during the time of Adding lemon juice
